Will you sell only one goat?
Yes we will sell only one goat. If a home does not have any other goats it is highly encouraged to buy at least two as they are herd animals.
Why are these goats more expensive than others I’ve seen?
Just like dogs or other animals goats have a large range of prices. You can see $50 dogs and $5,000 dogs. A lot of the price has to do with what goes into the goats and the quality of the goats. Our goats are tested for CAE, CL, and Johnes every year. They are all up to date on their vaccines. The price variation between our goats has to do with how much milk they produce, how good their conformation is, and ease of kidding. All of our goats are hardy as any that has shown to not be is culled. As a Vet owned herd they are cared for with the most up to date information which can be costly. We strive to produce healthy hardy goats that will last in their production. Due to this cost if a goat does not sell for the cost to produce it they will go to freezer camp or to auction without papers.
What comes with our goats?
All of our goats come with a vet check before leaving as well as a packet on the most up to date care practices that all owners should know: when and what to use for vaccines, what to feed, what supplements are needed, how to determine when to deworm, and more.
